I would like to know why Mr. Lovett even went to the court house with our son, then left saying he didn't need him, to plead GUILTY to breaking a china cabinet in his home and that it would be a misdemeanor and he would be fined. Then he left him alone, without representation!!!! Our adopted son is learning disabled, has ADD and fetal alcohol due to his birth parents being alcoholics and had no idea what he was doing, what he signed or what was going on. Thanks John, he plead guilty as you instructed, and was charged with a FELONY and given 5 years probation; his life hasn't been easy. A murderer, a rapist...NO, HE BROKE A CHEAP PIECE OF FURNITURE. When his ex-wife said it was worth the amount to make it a felony - it may have been worth $100 - no one bothered to do any research. This is the legal system..your attorney walks away, and he had used Mr. Lovett before. I will never understand. A job, an apartment..they're going to go further when you answer you're a convicted felon; sure they are! Our son is 38, and guess where he lives...with his parents. Thanks again, John.
