Review William Goren

About Me

I concentrate my efforts on understanding the ADA/Rehabilitation Act so that it works for you, your company, your client, your ornganization, or your institution. Services include, among other things, consulting, counseling, publishing, speaking, and training, etc. I have been doing this as an attorney since 1990, and I am the author of Understanding the Americans with Disabilities Act, Third Edition (published by the American Bar Association, 2010. A fourth edition of that book will be out from the American Bar Association in the fall of 2013). I am also the author of numerous other articles on the rights of persons with disabilities as well.

To these efforts, I bring a deep personal understanding of what it means to have a disability as I am deaf (have a congenital bilateral hearing loss of 65-90 db+ but function entirely in the hearing world thanks to hearing aids and lip reading). For reasons unrelated to my deafness, I also have to use voice dictation technology to access the computer.
