Kyle is a great lawyer and the best in the practice. He is a very good listener and put your interest first even before his pay. I hired Kyle three days to my case date for a reckless driving charge. He calmly listened to me and mapped out a strategy which was effectively executed without even going into trial. All charges were dropped, no fines, no nothing. Kyle knows the system inside out and the only thing on his mind while fighting your case is getting the best outcome for you. Another point that stood out to me with Kyle is his organization. He told me where to meet him and he was right there and I didn't have to struggle looking for him even though I was meeting him for the very fist time as I had only spoke to him on the phone. He was very receptive and calm. He told me stay calm and I will see you shortly, he came back and said, all charges have been dropped. I was so happy and relieved that I didn't have to set foot in the courtroom. He is a great Lawyer and I can recommend him to anyone with my head held high. Thank you very much Kyle. Adi

As is likely the case for many others, after being given a summons for a traffic infraction (passing a school bus with its lights on), I received a virtual blizzard of mailings from lawyers claiming expertise in this area. I conducted phone interviews with a number of them and also spoke to lawyer contacts of mine who don't specialize in this field to get their recommendations (i.e. who would they go to to represent their children if faced with a similar situation). Not only was I pleased with Kyle Manikas over the phone, but other lawyers highly recommended him. When I would ask some of the traffic specialists the question if I didn't hire them, which of the remaining lawyers on my list would they recommend, Kyle was always among the top of their list.
After today's experience in court I understand why. He was patient, attentive, and efficient, and was able to resolve the case in a highly satisfactory manner. My charges were reduced to almost nothing and I can now get on with my life (charges can really weigh on you while you wait for the court date). Kyle is easy to work with and it is immediately evident that he is well liked and respected at the courthouse, with both prosecutors and police officers alike.
I could not be more pleased. So feel free to interview a number of lawyers so you have a comparison, but in the end you will be pleased to have chosen Kyle.

I received a reckless driving citation late this summer, where I was paced doing 90 in a 55 mph zone. I was not intoxicated and I was the only one on the road at that early hour. The officer didn't arrest me, and was very polite with me. Still, this was a very serious offense that carried a potential jail term, not to mention the damage it could have to my career.
I turned to Kyle based on the reviews on this site, and I'm so glad that I did. Kyle didn't sugarcoat the challenge but he did give me advice in my free consultation about what I could do to help myself. Once I hired Kyle, he walked me through the various options of mitigating the damage from the citation. Kyle has expert knowledge on the Fairfax County prosecutor's office from his years of experience working there himself. He also explained to me patiently about the approaches the prosecutors and judges might take on my case.
Kyle advised me through two continuances when he could determine that negotiating with the prosecutor would not reach a reasonable outcome. He did speak to the officer who gave me the citation, and was able to work with the officer to acknowledge that there was a minor speedometer calibration issue. This meant that the officer was willing to testify that I was driving at 89 rather than 90 - which makes a world of difference in Virginia for reckless driving cases.
On the third trial date, he was able to make a deal with the prosecutor and I pled guilty to reduced charges that carried a hefty fine, but with no criminal record and no jail time. This outcome was better than I could have predicted at the start of this ordeal.
I can't recommend Kyle enough. He was courteous, patient, and honest about the implications about my case. He took care all throughout to explain what was happening and to look out for my best interests.

Kyle G.Manikas is a very expirienced and passionate advocate for anyone charged with a drug offense in Virginia.
Mr.Kyle practices almost exclusively criminal law. Each year he defends many criminal cases in Virginia with a great success .
Anyone arrested for a drug offense cannot afford to ignore the experience and knowledge of Mr.Kyle. He is universally respected by clients and colleagues.
Mr.Kyle is a master of the detail who knows extremely well the Virginia judicial process, Virginia drug laws and common drug crime defenses. But more importantly Mr. Kyle empowers defendants so they can receive quality attorney and get the most out of the attorney they hire.

Mr. Manikas’ is worth every cent. The cost for attorney representation ranges from $500 to $2000. I was tempted to go for the highest price because I was extremely worried about the outcome of my case. I live in California and often come to Virginia for business. On a beautiful Sunday morning while driving to Dulles international airport, a VA trooper driving an unmarked car stopped me and gave me a summons to appear in court for Reckless Driving 89/55. The trooper was extremely rude and didn’t care what I had to say. Not familiar with VA law I figured that it was just a speeding ticket. But I soon found out of the serious consequences of being convicted for reckless driving in VA, including possible jail time and a permanent criminal record. Having a clean record, I was very concerned and had many sleepless nights thinking of the outcome of my case. I received plenty of advertising material from many attorneys including one from Mr. Manikas. Using the AVVO website, and Martindale Hubble directory I checked the ratings for each attorney. I then called the attorneys with the highest ratings. It’s not an easy task to select an attorney, but during my phone conversation with Mr. Manikas, I got the impression that he is an honest and straightforward person. In addition, Mr. Manikas’ assistant is extremely efficient and I felt that they were knowledgeable and to the point. The day of the trial was nerve breaking, but I met Mr. Manikas at 9:30 a.m. and he calmly explained the events that would be taking place that morning, the fact that people without attorneys would go first and that he would then have an opportunity to talk to the prosecutor. It was not until 11 am that I saw Mr. Manikas go inside the court room. I peeked inside the courtroom and saw Mr. Manikas talking to the prosecutor. Mr. Manikas, suddenly came outside the court room and said “I need you to come inside right now, there is a chance we can fix this” I followed Mr. Manikas inside the courtroom and sat in one of the benches, he then filled some papers and handed them over to the prosecutor, after a couple of minutes the judge called my name. Mr. Manikas walked to the small podium and he waved his hand at me to come over. The judge said something that I couldn’t understand, Mr. Manikas replied in the same legal jargon, and it was done. Just like that! My case was dismissed with the final disposition “Nolle Prosequi .” If you find yourself on a similar situation don’t hire an attorney until you talk to Mr. Manikas.

I highly recommend Mr. Manikas to anyone to fight for your case. He is one of the best lawyers you can find in Virginia. I had met with other lawyers, and the other lawyers made me feel like I was screwed even before going to the court. On the other hand, Mr. Manikas’ confidence and charisma show me that he will fight for me with the best possible result he possibly can.
I was charged for reckless driving for 89/55. The trooper told me I was driving 85 at first, but he wrote me a ticket for 89 for some reason. During the trial, he told couple of lies for some unknown reason, I was shocked and mad. He said I called him an “A**h***”. I never used that word in my life, so that was a lie. I can prove it by asking all my co-workers, friends, church’s friends, and family. The trooper was there to get me send to jail no matter what. He also said I yelled at him that “I was going to hire an attorney to fight this!” his words. I was like, huh? I am from Texas, so whenever we get a speeding ticket, we just pay for the ticket, nothing more to it. I didn’t even know the seriousness of speeding in VA, so why would I want to fight a simple speeding ticket. I was hoping to get improper driving or something, but just not reckless driving with a criminal record. Mr. Manikas somehow got me to a speeding ticket!!! I was so relieved. Mr. Manikas single handedly just saved my job, my future, and me.

I strongly recommend Mr. Manikas. I hired him for my DUI case I was facing in fairfax county. I knew that I could not take this matter lightly as I hold a top secret clearance with a well respected agency. From the initial review I had a very good meeting/feeling with Mr. Manikas and knew he was the guy I needed to handle my case. He was easy to contact and communicate with throughout the whole process. On the court date my butterflies had set back in but I knew I had the right guy on my side. Mr. Manikas argued my case pointing out facts and inconsistencies. We achieved the outcome we were looking for since day one. Not guilty.
Thank you again Mr. Manikas I cannot thank you enough.

Mr. Manikas put me at ease the moment I met him. I was charged with DUI and hit and run. He worked tirelessly on my behalf and got the charges thrown out. I recommend him a million percent. If you have any legal issues contact Mr Manikas you will be happy that you did. As a former prosecutor he understands how the prosecution prepares and presents each case. He found every little hole in the prosecution and got me free of a Dui and accident charge. Thank you so much Mr. Manikas

Mr. Manikas was respectful, professional, and strategic. He is literally one of the best lawyers in the area and is reasonable on cost as well. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Charge: Reckless Driving (1st offense). Result: Ordinance violation, no points, $200 fine.

Mr. Manikas is an excellent lawyer. I had never had to work with a lawyer before but after the consultation I knew I could trust him to fight my case. He helped me work through all my possible options. He was very informative on what the outcome of the case could be. I was very pleased with conclusion of my case and would definitely recommend him.
