Debby came very highly recommended to handle a divorce, with potentially complicated child custody issues, involving an international adoption. She handled that, and other matters, perfectly. Don't know how many times you say you actually like talking to your divorce attorney, but I always look forward to seeing Debby.

I came to Debby with a very difficult domestic violence situation involving marriage to a citizen of a country that is not a signatory of the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and an infant child. Debby was exceptionally responsive and committed to my case, helping me through protective order proceedings, as well as divorce & custody matters. Her experience and familiarity with the courts and practitioners, including judges and ADR attorneys, were invaluable. She was a straight shooter, both realistic and thoughtful in her consideration of strategy. Her knowledge of the domestic violence dynamic was also extremely helpful.

My partner and I hired Deborah to do a second parent adoption after I gave birth to our daughter. Deborah got it done in record time - the order was signed on the day she turned 3 months - and persuaded the judge to waive the home sturdy. She really knows how to get things done.

Everyone knows that mediators are supposed to be patient, peace-building, and good facilitators. Ms. Luxenberg was IMpatient, ABRASIVE, and created a WORSE dynamic in the divorce as a result of this "mediation" experience.

She has a very pushy personality, and was extremely rude. All of us walked away from this experience wishing we had never worked with her.

I hired Debbie to do a separation agreement for my partner and I. After spending several thousand dollars (and pawning part of it off to her husband who had to get up to speed, resulting in more billable time), she was not accurate in terms of the law!

Debby is a strong advocate for her clients' positions, and is able to advocate without breaching ethical mores or even approaching that line. As an expert who works with many attorneys, sometimes only once, it's refreshing to see someone dedicated to the spirit and the letter of the law!

Debbie and her partners conducted extensive research on my behalf in a divorce case. She continued to work with attorneys on the other side even though several different attorneys were involved. She utilized a variety of tactics that resulted in the other side not being able to witnesses which expedited the settlement in my case. This saved me additional money in attorney fees. In addition, she has worked with me as I continue to pay for her services during this divorce.

I felt Debby was well informed about divorce law and that she gave me excellent counsel during a very difficult time. I have recommended her to others going through a similar situation. During a period of illness, her partner Steve was able to jump in and make sure that nothing fell through the cracks. I am very glad that I had them on my side.
