I retained Leon Fox for my divorce and was very unsatisfied. He did not seem to be interested in any aspect of my case. I quickly determined retaining him was my worst decision. He was very aggressive and more than eager regarding billing me.
I found him to be less than honest when confronting him. And nowhere near competent.
He seemed to exaggerate the "difficulty" of my case to keep it going. We met in his office prior to a proceeding, which we discussed the day before. As we were headed to the courtroom (in the same building) he asked "how old is the child". I have three children! All he had to do was look at the file.
I would have done better with anyone else or representing myself. I strongly recommend anyone to seek counsel elsewhere!
All he did was find ways to charge me more money. He did everything to keep my case going. He would write a couple a letters a week to the other lawyer about nothing. He would call me on the weekends. Then when I tried to fire him he kept calling me and would not give up my file to my new lawyer, and my bill was paid.
I have no idea what Mr. Fox is doing on my divorce case, but he informs me that he is doing extensive research. I am paying him more than 1/3 of my monthly fixed income, but he wants more. I do not want to call him, because I'm sure each phone call would cost me several hundred dollars. I would not recommend him.
I was his client and I can not say anything positive about this person.
