Unemployment Compensation Appeal Hearing

Mr. Dougherty recently represented me for my Unemployment Compensation Appeal Hearing. I had never been in any kind of court setting before & was VERY nervous. He handled my case very professionally, he answered any & all questions and concerns I had along the way and with his help I had a successfu...l ruling at my hearing. I truly appreciate that he had MY legal rights in focus (and made sure I also understood them) and helped me get a fair chance to tell my side of the story, which I hadn't gotten up till that point. I would highly recommend hiring him to anyone & am thankful for all his help & hard work.

Excellent representation during an uncertain time

Mr Dougherty provided excellent representation for me during my recent unemployment hearing. From my first meeting with him through representation at my hearing he was professional, articulate and displayed a clear understanding of unemployment law and the judicial process. He managed my expectat...ions of the entire process, educated me to my rights under the circumstances and fully represented me at the hearing. He kept me fully informed throughout the entire process and was responsive when I had questions. I appreciated his professionalism, guidance and advocacy for my rights at the hearing. I would not have had the successful outcome I did without his guidance and representation. I strongly recommend Mr. Dougherty for all unemployment law representation.

Highly Recommended

I retained John Dougherty to handle my workman's compensation case. At a time when I was in a lot of pain and suffering financially due to the loss of income John Dougherty was a source of support. His knowledge of workman's compensation law coupled with his empathetic nature allowed me to receive ...the both the medical care and financial restitution I needed. I was always kept aware of the progress of my case and my questions were always answered for me. I highly recommend John B. Highly Reccommend... Respectful, Knowledgeable, Prepared

I recently had an appeal and hearing before the PA Civil Service Commission. I felt that Mr. Dougherty's ability to bring a complicated situation down to the simple facts of the case was extremely helpful. I had never been through any type of "court" proceedings before and he helped to calm m...y anxiety and prepare me properly which most definitely helped during the entire process. I was expecting to be extremely nervous on the stand, but it never materialized because Mr. Dougherty took control and gave me the extra time to go over things beforehand. During the hearing, he nailed things I had not even noticed and was able to present my case and left me feeling that we could not have done any better in what we presented. He also made sure to ask me during the hearing if there was anything I wanted/needed to add after each witness. He has knowledge, experience and also the common sense to tackle tough issues. Maybe it is just because I am a first timer in court, but he has angles that are important to a case - outside the box... I really appreciated this because if you don't have it, you don't stand a chance. I felt he was fair in his overall assessment and telling it like it was, allowing me to make final decisions. I also felt he cared about doing a good job for me. I felt respected as a person. All other law firms I had gone to prior were very cold and I felt more like they were interested "only" in the money aspect of any case they had. I never got that feeling here - not once. As a matter of fact, the attorney I went to just before Mr. Dougherty was more interested in taking what I presented to him on paper and just make grammar corrections during our meeting... what? The staff were also wonderful and professional. I will recommend the firm to anyone I know without a second thought!
