About Me

Noah Paul Fardo, Esq. is the managing partner of FLAHERTY FARDO, LLC.

His efforts are focused on Pennsylvania civil and trial litigation with an emphasis on serious personal injuries, Pennsylvania car accidents, truck accidents, medical malpractice, debt collection and property tax appeals.

Born and raised in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, Mr. Fardo received his Bachelor of Arts Degree Cum Laude from Allegheny College.

He obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at The University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Mr. Fardo is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and most recently the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, limited to attorneys who have been lead counsel in cases which have won multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for their clients.

He is admitted to practice law in the Pennsylvania State Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court in Washington D.C.

Mr. Fardo's trial litigation efforts have included representation of catastrophically injured clients and assisting family members in pursuing wrongful death claims arising from truck and bus accidentsauto accidents, medical malpractice, professional negligence and premises liability.

Mr. Fardo has also taken a special interest in medical malpractice claims involving plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery errors.  Too often, non-qualified physicians are attempting plastic surgery with horrific results to their patients.  Mr. Fardo has established a network of relationships and friendships with some of the most qualified board certified plastic surgeons in the country.  One of those surgeons is on retainer with our Pittsburgh law firm, his brother, Dean J. Fardo, M.D., a board certified and esteemed plastic surgeon.  Having family members to consult with about cases is an enormous advantage in litigation.  This immediate and close access to board certified plastic surgeons is pivotal to the success of our clients in these types of cases and sets us apart from many of our competitors.

Mr. Fardo takes great pride in collecting Pennsylvania debt for his clients.  Debt Collection is a strategic game and takes unique individuals willing to persistently and aggressively pursue debtors.  There are times to be compassionate, but there are also times when it is necessary to use the fullest extent of the law.  Mr. Fardo has attended many sheriff's sales personally to protect his clients' interest.

Mr. Fardo has established a nationwide network of relationships with 'out-of-state' attorneys and Law Firms in an effort to collect in-state (Pennsylvania) debt.  There is significant satisfaction in collecting monies from individuals and corporate entities who refuse to honor their legal obligations.  These collections include both consumer and commercial debt, as well as defaulted student loans, mortgages, business and personal debt.  He routinely represents credit unions, commercial banks, and small businesses.

Mr. Fardo directs the firm's property tax assessment division, and has helped thousands of residential and commercial property owners in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  His commercial efforts have included a wide spectrum business, including strip malls, car dealerships, large apartment complexes and restaurants such as TGIF, Burger King, Taco Bell and Kings Family Restaurants.  His total efforts have reduced assessments in excess of seventy five million dollars saving his clients Millions in actual property taxes.

He has continued to defend numerous residential and commercial property owners in appeals filed by the school districts and other taxing entities.   He is known for his reputation of fighting to reduce property taxes and has been contacted and interviewed about assessments numerous times by the Pittsburgh media, including the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Pittsburgh Tribune Review and KQV Radio.

He strongly believes in abolishing school property taxes by raising the income and sales taxes respectively.  He also has publicly commented that in his opinion the current Allegheny County assessment process is unconstitutional.  He remains fully committed to saving his clients money.

In 2004, Mr. Fardo obtained a landmark jury verdict against the Port Authority of Allegheny County for their intentional violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Specifically, it was proven at trial that the Port Authority intentionally discriminated against a paraplegic in strict violation of Section II of the ADA.  This landmark decision has received attention from lawyers nationwide and was the first successful jury or non-jury verdict of its kind in this area.

In September 2008, Mr. Fardo won a Washington County Jury Verdict against a Physician for lack of informed consent concerning an amputation.

In April 2009, Mr. Fardo won a retrial of the matter by again convincing a new jury that the Physician was indeed liable even though the procedure was performed correctly and was for the benefit of the patient.

Lack of Informed Consent cases are generally known within the legal community as very difficult cases to persuade a jury when there was a medical benefit for the patient.

Currently, Mr. Fardo is engaged in a variety of Pennsylvania trial litigation including Pittsburgh car accidents, medical malpractice, botched plastic surgery, and business disputes.

Personal:

Mr. Fardo and his family currently reside north of the city of Pittsburgh.  His family remains active with his local Church Parish where he serves as a member of the Church's Finance Committee.  In January 2008, he was elected to a four year term as council member for his local Borough and is committed politically to eliminating government waste, even at the local level.  His personal interests include spending time at home with his family, exercising, bow hunting for white tail deer and golf.
