Case Conclusion Date: January 1, 2010
Practice Area: Immigration
Outcome: Withholding Granted
Description: A client came to me and told me that he was in Immigration Court for years and was represented by another lawyer. I took over the case and the case went to trial. The government claimed that he was not eligible for the relief he was seeking because he provided support to a terrorist organization. This was a charge that my client denied. However, the Immigration Judge denied the case. We appealed it to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the BIA sent the case back to the Immigration Judge. Thereafter, we were able to convince the government to agree that our client was eligible for Withholding and should receive Withholding. The government and the Judge agreed.
