Description: My client and her daughter arrived in San Diego and were immediately put into removal proceedings. As cubans, if they remained in the U.S. for one year they would be allowed to adjust status and become permanent residents. I had the case consolidated and transferred and then filed a bare bones asylum application. After the one year had passed I filed the I-485 package with USCIS, the family was interviewed and approved.
