I wound up being a witness for a Plaintiff that Mr. Del Colliano represented in a very complex estate litigation. Mr. Del Colliano prevailed for his client and demonstrated above board ethics because he contacted me as he knew I was named in the estate and made sure that I received funds that I was due. The estate attorney had not even done this and appears to have had no intention of doing so. Mr. Del Colliano was not obligated to notify me or send me any payment, because I was not his client and technically at that time, not even his witness. He also was not the estate attorney or an administrator or Executor for the estate. He told me he contacted me because he was an officer of the court and wanted to do the right thing in notifying me. That was very honorable of him and not many attorneys these days would do that.
I also observed him in action in the courtroom throughout the lengthy trial and can tell you that he is always very well prepared and strategic. At one point, the Judge even noted in his remarks how well prepared Mr. Del Colliano was. He is a very skilled litigator. I see one comment that claimed he is not the most tech savvy and I will agree with that, but when you have 41 years of experience, you really aren't required to be; you just need capable staff working with you and I was able to e-mail his assistant who forwarded the information to him and he received faxes I sent as well and responded when necessary.
The Plaintiff whom he represented in this matter speaks highly of him and has used him in the past and says she will continue to use him because he has never lost any case in which he represented her. If I needed the services of an attorney based on my experience with him, I would strongly consider hiring him.
Mr. Del Colliano represented me in several matrimonial matters in Court. My ex-wife has me back in court every two years. The case is never easy. He has conferences with me whenever I need to see him and always takes my phone calls or calls me back right away. Every time we go to Court the case is resolved in my favor. I have never met an attorney who knows the matrimonial law so well. I was also surprised that his legal fees were so reasonable compared to other attorneys in Bergen County. I recommend him to everyone that needs a matrimonial attorney.
I am a broker associate who has been referring clients to Arthur Del Colliano for a number of years. I have found Mr. Del Colliano to be extremely knowledgeable of the real estate closing process. He works well with mortgage brokers and title companies who are associated with my team. Most importantly, he is very respectful with my clients and caters to their individual needs. And he also keeps me in the loop on all matters that could affect my business.
He over charged me without completing his fiduciary duties from 2004 on my estate. When trying to reach him several times. As well as 2 other attorneys tried he would not respond to my calls. His secretary said he does not know who I am. As well as all documents. Were flooded and thrown away. He was ok when he took me for thousands of dollars. I need to file to the ethics board.
Over charges by double billing work that has already been done.
I was charged over $1600 for what amounted to a single letter.
He needs to learn email
