I was a prosecutor for twenty-two years with the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and am certified as a criminal trial attorney. As an an Assitant Prosecutor, I worked in the juvenile, adult trial, appellate and expungment sections. I was a deputy first assistant for 1 1/2 years and Director of the Child Abuse Unit for 8 years.
I have tried one of the longest running jury trials in the State of New Jersey and over the course of my tenure at the Prosecutor's Office tried over 100 trials both jury and nonjury.
I retired from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office 11 years ago and since that time have been handling criminal defense and family matters.
My firm practices in the areas of criminal defense and family law. We practice in both the Superior and Municipal courts. Representative family matters handled by our firm include divorce, custody, domestic violence, and post-judgment litigation. We also handle cases from the Division of Youth and Family Services now called the Diivision of Child Protection and Permanency. Representativie criminal cases handled by our firm include drug offenses, weapons offenses, DUI, and theft.
I am concerned about each and every person who becomes my client and work extrmely hard to insure the best outcome possible in each and every case. We give a free consultation for family and criminal law matters.

Sara Senser McArtle is a great lawyer. She recently did my divorce and quickly noticed potential problems with what the outside mediator had written up. She is honest, reasonable and an excellent negotiator.

Sara is an excellent attorney with lots of patience and an unusual ability to allow clients to really participate in a case. She is an amazingly smart person and has a great deal of emotional intelligence. She is definitely someone I would recommend.
"I have known Sara Mc Ardle for many years. As a former Essex County Prosecutor, head of the child abuse unit, she is uniquely capable at handling child abuse, family law and criminal matters. Though she can be a tough litigator, her unique gift her is wisdom and tempered approach, analytical ability and her constant quest for pragmatic solutions to complex problems. I have referred her many cases over the years, and working together, we have helped many families achieve reunification. In many cases, I have referred my clients to her for criminal defense representation. She is a consummate professional, a trusted advisor and a genuinely caring individual. I highly recommend her services."
"I am pleased to endorse this lawyer. She is tough but fair, knowledgeable about the law and a passionate champion for her clients. More important, she knows when to press her point and when to settle."
"I know Sara to be a highly dedicated and ex[erienced attorney who cares and works hard for her clients"
