About Me

2010 marks our 13th year of representing victims of
Nursing Home abuse and neglect. Thirteen years ago lawyers in the
Commonwealth normally would not take such cases because they believed
these cases were not worth pursuing. There was a need to protect the
elderly living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities and
nobody was doing it. We set out to prove that: Elderly are worth
protecting, and; that the quality of care and quality
of life
can be improved by pursuing these cases.

The firm is equipped with trial counsel, a senior associate, junior
associate, nurses and other medical consultants, Attorney Hoey; Office
Manager and a Paralegal. We also utilize contract attorneys, Law
Clerks, Private Investigators and research organizations when
necessary.

The firm’s reputation has gained national attention from colleagues
across the country. Attorney Hoey has appeared on CBS I-Team Report,
The Legal Line TV Program, Channel 4 Evening News, New England Cable
News, the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald as well as other media
outlets.

The Law Office of David J. Hoey, PC has become the innovative leader
in the nursing home litigation field, and has earned the respect of
the legal profession, the public and the government.

  • David W. Terry

I endorse David Hoey with no reservations whatsoever. I have known David for about ten years now since we both handle cases involving nursing home abuse and neglect. Although I am based in St. Louis, Missouri, I was working on a case based in Iowa that involved an ownership company in Massachusetts. David was happy to help me with the procedural issues required by Massachusetts to allow me to proceed against that entity. Beyond that, I have heard David speak several times at various national events. He is knowledgeable and passionate about nursing home cases. If you are in Massachusetts and are looking for an attorney to help you with a case against the nursing home industry, David Hoey should be the first attorney you call.
