Question

Received a speeding ticket in Michigan as a NY driver?

I received a speeding ticket for going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone in Michigan, but I have a NY license and NY license plates. I'm reading online that Michigan does not report out of state violations and that NY does not consider it either, but I am a little confused. Will I get points added to my license or will my insurance rate go up?

My best advice is to fight it regardless. It may or may not transfer but it will show up for insurance purposes.
