Question

NY issued me a tint ticket and I'm from out of state with FL plates

I just moved from FL to NJ in August 2018. I was driving through Warwick NY and was pulled over for my tint. I purchased my car in FL with the tint and never had an issue. My car is still register and insured in FL However I just got a NJ drivers license to be able to work in NJ temporary while I help my dad who is disabled. The officer said my Tint is at 15% Not sure what to do when I go to court. Or how much this ticket is going to be

The tint tickets are 0 pt equipment violations. If you have removed the tints then you can bring that proof with you to court and the prosecutor will likely dismiss the case. Otherwise they may not offer you anything and have you plead guilty as charged. The max fine is under $200 (per ticket). I recommend verifying that you only received tint tickets and no other violations.
