Can I get a mortgage if my name is on the deed but not on the note and the house went into foreclose
I am on a deed but not the note of a house in PA. The house went into foreclosure. My credit score is 722. The house is not on my credit. I applied for a loan in buying a house. Got pre approved. I found a house and everything was going good with loan until underwriter got it. He said that by me being on the deed I cant get the loan. Also about 7 1/2 years ago I gave a house back to the bank. My ex distroyed my life. That house is not on my credit report. The house was worth more then I owed. So they wont give me the loan even though I can afford it...and my credit score is in the 700's. Nothing negative on my credit report. What can I do?
There is no easy answer to to your question. You will need to retain an experienced PA mortgage foreclosure defense and bankruptcy attorney. This is also an extremely bad time to buy real estate. The RE market is expected to collapse (it has already started) and the smart money expects it to take 6 years to bottom out and values are expected to decline by 30% some areas more, some less. THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE! YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO AN ATTORNEY WHO IS LICENSED IN YOUR STATE FOR LEGAL ADVICE. This is merely suggestions for you to think about in discussing your situation with the local attorney.
