Implementation of this practice area includes addressing the Legal, Financial and Medical needs of the client’s I serve.
Prior to becoming an attorney, I was in the nursing profession for over 23 years. I began my career as a licensed vocational nurse and later obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with honors from Texas Woman’s University. Over the span of my nursing career, I practiced in many areas such as CV-ICU, Med-surg, Administration, Home Care and healthcare technology.
As a Home Care Nurse, I was in the community visiting elderly clients in their homes and quickly realized the great need for a voice for the seniors I served. After several years in Administration and running my own consulting company, I made the decision to attend law school to gain the knowledge I needed to help seniors and their families navigate the system and advocate on their behalf. I attended South Texas College of Law Houston and obtained my law degree in May of 2021.
My professional and civic activities include membership in local and national organizations including: Texas Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Houston Association of Women Attorneys, Houston Lawyers Association and the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA). I currently serves on the Investment Committee for the National Black Nurses Association Inc in addition to the Board of Directors for Destined to Live and the Make A Mark Foundation, the latter of which I founded in memoriam of my brother, Mark-Anthony P. Olusi, who passed away in 2008 due to complications following a heart transplant.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, volunteering, attending concerts, and spending time with my family.
