Kathryn Nell Byler

Firm associate Kathryn N. Byler practices in the areas of Small Business, Real Estate and Landlord/Tenant matters, General District Court (Civil, Criminal and Traffic), Wills, Trusts and Estates, and Guardianships/Conservatorships. She manages her practice from the firm’s Virginia Beach office.

Holding a Martindale-Hubbell AV-Rating, she is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

Ms. Byler earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where she currently teaches as an adjunct professor. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University, magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.

She is involved in numerous professional organizations, including serving as Chair of the Virginia State Bar’s Resolution of Fee Disputes Committee, on the Virginia State Bar Real Estate Section Board of Governors, and as Chair of the Va. Beach Bar Association General District Court Judicial Liaison Comittee. She is a Past President of the Virginia Beach Forum.

Ms. Byler is a licensed Virginia real estate broker and also a licensed commercial pilot (multi-engine, IFR), scuba diver and skydiver.

Prior to practicing with Pender & Coward, Byler was a faculty member at Old Dominion University, Tidewater Community College and Virginia Wesleyan College.
