Would not recommend for speeding tickets / reckless driving

I paid $995 to hire Mr. LaFon to represent me in a reckless driving (speeding) court case in. Initial traffic court judge reduced my ticket fine from $500 to $300 but would not reduce the speeding ticket. Under advisement of Mr. LaFon, I took an extended defensive driving course and completed com...munity service prior to an appeals court case. The appeals judge would not reduce the speeding ticket or the fine any further. I understand that I broke the law and Mr. Lafon was there to help advise me in the best manner possible. My poor review/rating of Mr. LaFon is not because I spent over $1k on the entire process to only receive a $200 reduction in fine, but rather the lack of consistent follow up from him throughout the entire process. Mr. LaFon would communicate via email of times when I should expect a call from him to review something about the case, and then would not reach out to me during that time. One day prior to the initial court case, Mr. LaFon called me and started asking me the same questions we had went over when I initially spoke with him and asked him to take my case. It was as if we were starting over and he knew nothing of my case 24 hours prior to the court date! When it came time for the appeals court case, he was supposed to call me the day before and go over everything with me, instead he called me (while I was at work and could not speak) 45 minutes prior to my hearing. I gave up on calling him at the end of it all and it took him almost week to call and let me know the results of my court case. I feel as if I were representing someone in court and they just received a misdemeanor on their record, I would want to reach out within 1-2 days just to talk with him. Overall, I felt my case was just a low priority to the Fisher Law firm and I would not recommend using them.
