Jesse Copeland

Jesse Copeland joined McCathern in 2020 as an associate attorney at the firm’s Dallas office. Jesse is focusing his early career work on Real Estate Transactions, Oil & Gas, Construction Litigation, Corporate Services, and Business & Commercial Litigation, gaining valuable experience in these practice areas working alongside McCathern’s seasoned attorneys.

Jesse earned his juris doctor from the SMU Dedman School of Law. While there, he was a Student Bar Association Mentor from 2018-2019 and a director of the mentorship program from 2019-2020. In 2019 he competed on the Energy Law Negotiations Team and from 2019-2020 he was the president of the Real Estate Law Association. Jesse was also a member of the Corporate Counsel Externship Program in the fall of 2019 and worked at the Corporate offices of Pizza Hut.

Prior to law school, Jesse graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in business administration. While there he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and was chairman of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Chilifest, Inc., which has raised over $3.5 million for charities in the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas of Texas.

Jesse lives in the Dallas area with his fiancée and is an avid golf and fitness enthusiast.
