I don't understand how the other reviewers could be talking about the same person. Tom Makedonski has been a disaster! He regularly ignores phone calls and emails. He says he will email documents then doesn't. He agreed to pay for the financial education portion of my Chapter 7, then failed to send m...e the link necessary to complete the education, after numerous promises that he would. I paid for the education instead and took the certificate down to the court myself to be sure it was filed in a timely manner. I have a creditor that needs be added to the list of creditors. I sent the bill to Tom in January. It is now April, and I have confirmed with the bankruptcy court that he still has not filed the additional creditor. Oh, and I hired him and paid him in April 2013, but he didn't actually file the case until January 2014, after I asked him for my money back. When I talk to him on the phone, he's all promises, but he doesn't deliver the service that a competent attorney would. You may pay more for someone else, but trust me, it will be worth it! I'd have been better off filing this case without an attorney, because he has documents that I need to see, but he won't send them to me.

Tom was highly recommended to me through a family member as I started to contemplate bankruptcy in order to alleviate some of the financial difficulties I was faced with post the divorce. One thing that I found rather unorthodox about Tom and so no 'lawyer like' is that for the first 30mins of the meeting Tom made sure I understood that this is nothing to be embarrassed about and it is an option available to those who need it the most. I walked away from the meeting with Tom for the first time in a long time finally being able to see the light at the long tunnel. We had a plan! He outlined the next steps, action items for me and action items for him along with the timeline to get it done. Throughout the bankruptcy process, I knew Tom was always a phone call away. After all, he has given me his cellphone number during the first meeting letting me know I can call him at any time with questions. Tom comes highly recommended and I consider him one of the best lawyers in the area of bankruptcy law. Tom's knowledge and due diligence enabled me to sail smoothly through my bankruptcy. Thank you Tom!!

Tom was my attorney for my bankruptcy case. From the first day he told me what should I expect, how much will it cost and how long it will take. At that time I was getting about 75 collection calls a day. The very next day after I've been to his office the phone calls almost stop. Few days after I di...dn't get anymore phonecalls. I've recommended Tom to at least 10 of my friends and he helped them the same way he did help me. His professionalism and knowledge are surpassed only by his courtesy and his humor. I like this guy and I would recommend him to anyone who goes through bankruptcy. Six month after my case was over I started getting approved for credit cards again. Not that I would overuse them again but ....just as an example for people who say that once you file for bankruptcy you're doomed for 7 years.

I will be forever grateful to Tom for being the serious,smart and caring person he was right from the start. He actually calls you himself to answer your concerns! He's the best lawyer I've eve...r dealt with in ANY case and took away the fear out of filing my Chapter 7.
