Not Happy at all

Was very hard to get in touch with Todd Newman. Was not day goes at all. Settled my case for a very small amount and took more than 2 years. He added a lot of expenses and probably made more than me. Do your research before you pick a lawyer.

Unsatisfied customer

This lawyer was recommended by a friend. When I started going to therapy I noticed there Dr. was already billing my insurance company for $4500 and I wasn’t even no where near finished the therapy. When I asked what is your fees here and she said we just bill your insurance company $4500 regardless. ...So I called Todd Newman to find out what was going on and I asked him well what’s your fee. He said I don’t have a fee and to call him back in six months. I called back in six months and every month after that, not once did I speak with Mr. Newman concerning my case. Anytime I called it was he working on your case. Well I wanted to speak with my so called lawyer. He finally calls when the case settles almost ten months after the first time I spoke to him and says the amount that the insurance company is offering. When I get to the office for the check they done chopped that check to pieces. He gets 40%. This lawyer never discussed his fees let alone I have never even seen or meet this lawyer personally. Then other fees of photocopies and postage $200 ain’t that much postage and copies in the world. Please be careful when choosing lawyers some only benefit themselves. Oh and the therapy dr. And the lawyer got more than me. Beware

When my office was hired a Contingent Fee Agreement was presented and explained. It was explained that we only get paid if we win and if we win 60% goes to the client and 40% to the firm. That is the standard fee in the Phila. market. I’m not sure where the confusion over my fee arose, however, when asked my fee I could not give an exact dollar amount prior to settlement but could only say it’s 40% of whatever is collected. As to the doctors bills they are subject to the PA motor vehicle fee schedule. The doctor will only be paid according to that schedule. So the face value of the medical bills is subject to a fee schedule review and reduction. Finally, I welcome you to contact me to discuss this matter. I would be happy to discuss my fees and costs as well as the amount you netted. Please call me.
