Cordoba with Kenny Leigh and Associates, an attorney previously known for her work representing victims of domestic abuse. While her previous reputation suggested a commitment to vulnerab...le parties, my experience, representing a man in a divorce case, revealed a shocking lack of competence, professionalism, and ethical billing. My case, which should have been relatively straightforward, was needlessly dragged out for an agonizing three years directly due to her consistent and baffling errors. From the outset, her handling of crucial legal documents was disastrous. She inexplicably and without justifiable cause discredited a prenuptial agreement that should have provided clear guidelines, creating unnecessary complications and severely weakening my position from the start. Punctuality and organization were non-existent. She consistently failed to submit necessary documents on time, leading to repeated delays, extensions, and increased legal fees. This pattern of negligence created a constant state of anxiety and uncertainty, prolonging an already difficult process. Perhaps most egregiously, the marital settlement agreement (MSA), a foundational and critical document in any divorce, was riddled with errors and omissions. It required endless revisions and corrections, not due to complex negotiations, but due to her oversight and poor drafting. This fundamental failure on such a pivotal document is inexcusable for any legal professional. Adding insult to injury, she erroneously charged fees for her own mishandling of information and documentation. I was effectively penalized financially for her professional failings, demonstrating not only incompetence but a deeply questionable ethical standard regarding billing practices. In summary, Teresa Córdoba demonstrated a profound level of incompetence, negligence, and questionable billing practices throughout my entire divorce proceedings. Her shift in representation to men in divorce cases appears to have come at the severe cost of her legal acumen and client welfare. I strongly advise anyone, particularly men seeking divorce representation, to look elsewhere. Her services proved to be a significant detriment, prolonging distress, escalating costs, and creating a nightmare scenario rather than facilitating a smooth and competent resolution. Do NOT entrust your legal matters to this attorney or this law firm that continues to support her after filing numerous complaints with supervisors and notifying the Bar Association of issues. You will likely face prolonged litigation, unnecessary expenses, and a profound lack of professional care. After being paid $15,000 the company is coming after me for another $12,000 after I already paid settlement to X (which is still being fought over in court) and I’ve had to hire a new attorney with cost over $10,000 (coming up on 3 years of legal fighting now, to which X is coming for more money and attempting to take away my full time custody in order to avoid paying any child support).
