very nice guy, but dont you want a lawyer

met with him last year for custody fight with ex husband. he was fiddling with his hands and gave very little feedback on what he could do to prevent me from losing my property in whitesburg, he thought i should just sell it. i asked around town and was told i'd be better off to hire someone else.

Extremely competent and knowledgeable

Mr. Drake is very knowledgeable and able to present facts in a rational and concise fashion. This is crucial in emotionally driven cases like divorce. He is compassionate and quickly puts his clients at ease. Highly recommend!

Save your money and represent yourself...not really.

Now ANY half-way intelligent person should know that, to try to represent yourself in court, is a disaster waiting to happen. With that being said, I can honestly say that I would have been MUCH better off if I would have simply conceded to my plaintiff, handed over everything they had asked for in t...he lawsuit, and walk away. After paying $300 for a private consultation (first mistake) this seemingly competent and well-organized person, (I'll cover the organized part in a minute) appeared to be very knowledgeable and confident that we had good chance of ending the complaint quickly and without much pain, so I hired him. (second mistake) Failing to live up to his own expectations, he appears to simply bow down to the plaintiffs lawyer and make me look like a fool. Acting as if we had won, he begins to tell me we really made out, and that the outcome could have been much worse. Remember the "well organized" comment I made earlier? It was all I could do to get ANY accurate information out of him or ANY of the people working under him. Unanswered emails, text messages and phone calls were very common, and when there was an attempt at communication, the replies were very confusing and at times, inaccurate and insufficient. While were on the subject of communication, just know ahead that, while his staff seemed to be accurate with the charges incurred, Mr. Drake charged a full hour for ANY researches or communications he supposedly made. Just note that, the amount you put down as a retainer will be beans compared to the final tally on the invoice you receive in the end. Do your research and by all means, ask more than 1 person for a referral; it was a dismal failure on my part.

A client told me about this website. This negative review and the one below were made anonymously. After investigating these reviews, in my opinion, these were written by an individual(s) who was not my client. Unfortunately, once the review is posted it can't be removed. Instead of giving weight to a website that allows anonymous people to post a review without first confirming the accuracy of the review, I invite any potential client to ask my former clients, court personnel, and other lawyers in this area about my reputation and ability as a lawyer.

I am so glad Taylor was my representation. Great fellow...

I contracted Taylor to protect my interests in a divorce case. Taylor was amazing in how he kept me calm and focused. On the few occasions I emailed him freaking out, he responded immediately and put my mind at ease. Taylor was very open, honest, and caring with regards to my situation. Taylor was al...so very concise in explaining family law as it applied to the circumstances in my case and this made all the difference. Without going into detail, I will say that everything that Taylor did, changed my life for the best. Thanks Mr. Taylor Drake. I am truly indebted to you. Cheers..... B.M.
