Biography
I focus my practice in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate matters, real estate, and business matters.
I obtained my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and earned my J.D. at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating magna cum laude.
Prior to practicing law, I worked as a reporter for the Grand Haven Tribune and as a 911 dispatcher for Ottawa County Central Dispatch. Throughout law school, I continued to work full time, dispatching at night and attending classes during the day.
I sat on the Assistant Board of Editors for Law Review and was selected to be a member of a National Negotiation Team. As an extern to Hon. David H. Sawyer, I had to the opportunity to assist the Michigan Court of Appeals in writing several opinions.
In addition to my legal experience, I have actively volunteered to benefit my church, my community, and my children's various school and sporting activities.
