Stephen Paul Grant

After being arrested for DUI I found Stephen Grant through Callahan Law. Throughout the whole process of being charged with DUI, the entire team at Callahan Law was caring and professional. We hired Stephen for our 19yo son to help us through a King Co charge of Minor DUI, we live in Kitsap Co. My son was originally pulled over on I-90 Bellevue for talking on his phone while driving. Which turned into a Minor DUI when he confessed to drinking about a half a beer, and blew a .021 (lega...l is .02 under 21). Due to King Co incompetence to deal with multi-offense hardcore DUI offenders, they would not reduce "criminal" Minor DUI charges for a first time 1/2 beer offense. Thanks to Stephens detective work, and good counsel we decide to take to our case to a jury. About a week before the trail the King Co Prosecutor finally offered a 1 yr deferred sentence, which meant counseling, a class, and 1 year of staying out of trouble, at which time all charges would be dropped. Stephen stayed with us the whole time, from original charges through completing counseling and classes. Beware, some in the counseling industry do not seem to be all that interested in helping you through the processes. Unfortunately its harder than you think. If Stephen had not stuck with us, done his detective homework, and not provide us with good counsel, we might not have chosen to take to trail for what was clearly a massive over reaction for a 1/2 beer, and may not have made it through all the hoops. Unfortunately everything Seattle or King Co (except Heroin addiction and related homelessness) is over the top WRT first time alcohol offenders. If you feel like your being railroaded, I highly recommend calling Stephen to get his advice. Thank you Stephen for giving my young son a real shot at the rest of his life!

Stephen was very professional and a great communicator. Clearly explained all options available throughout the process of my DUI case. He was also very easy going and accommodating, as I have a service dog to manage my symptoms of PTSD/anxiety, and he made me feel just like anyone else. My service dog loved him and was always excited to see him, so you know we were treated warmly and respectfully, despite this mistake that I made by driving under the influence.
