Shaun William O'Connell

When I found myself with a disorderly conduct charge I contacted Shaun O'Connell and from the beginning he assured me that he would get the charge dropped. Those were the words of encouragement that I needed very critically at that point in my life because I was at one of the lowest points in my life... and the idea of adding a dent to my record was taking a tow on me mentally adding it to the already existing anxieties that ate me up on a daily. Almost two years ago I was falsely charged in Columbia County with a "3rd" DUI and the whole nine yards that they could come up and it was not true! I retained a local Portage lawyer and paid him a "LOT OF MONEY" for nothing and was strung along in the "The Good Old Boy" system for over a year and ...half. He had me accepting a plea and a third DUI, thirty days in jail (at home), three years with a device to blow in in my truck and not being able to ride my motorcycle for three years as well any other vehicle too. I didn't do it! A friend listened to my story and said he had a similar experience and gave me Shaun's name. I met with Shaun and told him what happened and even though I repeated things over and over and was not expressing myself clearly "because I was completely at my end!" He was able to put what I said in perfect order as it happened. He got to work immediately. We went to trial and had a jury etc. He brought the truth out every word he spoke.when cross examining the police officer, that was found out he gave a false story. Busted on the stand.The judge quickly set the jury to lunch. While the jury was at lunch, Shaun spoke to the judge in the most professional and clear manner I have ever personally witnessed. The judge ,who was a fair judge, threw out "ALL" of the charges against me. He said this case should of never came across this desk". Before the jury came back from lunch the DA dropped the charge's. "Due to insufficient evidence" !!!! I thank God for Shaun O'Connell.
