I am so happy I was referred to Seiden Family Law (by a well respected family law attorney from South Jersey). After a wonderful meeting with Sheryl Seiden we both agreed that Shari Genser would be the perfect attorney to handle my child support case. Shari has extensive knowledge of not only family... law but also the intricacies and nuances of Essex County Family Court having clerked there. My ex was attempting to vacate/modify the arrears (back child support) that had accumulated over nearly 20 years, although I knew the law did not allow modification of arrears I knew I needed a professional to assist in ensuring that this did not happen. After providing Shari with a timeline of the events that brought me to this point she was able to turn it into a thorough and brilliantly written brief that outlined our case for the judge. When our day in court came, Shari was early and well prepared. This combined with her rapport with the family court staff helped us to see the judge before lunch, helpful since I had taken a half day off from work. Once in front of the judge she was able to thwart my ex’s attempt postpone and drag out this issue. Shari’s appeal to the judge ensured we resolved the matter the same day and thanks to her brief, which she sent to the judge about 2 weeks in advance, things went very smoothly, the judge ruled in our favor and the arrears remained in place. Shari was confident, focused, concise and kept to the facts, whereas I would have almost certainly allowed some of the irrelevant statements made by my ex to take me off track with defensive bickering back and forth. In the end we received the exact resolution I was hoping for.

Shari is wonderful. She handled my divorce with so much kindness and humor.
