Shannan W Leelyn

Shannan Leelyn currently serves as Assistant Attorney General under the leadership of AG Andrea Joy Campbell, handling litigation, appeals, and administrative law matters for the Commonwealth and its agencies. She also serves as the Office's Intern Coordinator, hiring, supervising, and mentoring interns and helping them assist colleagues from all Divisions at the Office. 

Previously, AAG Leelyn ran a full-service litigation firm - Leelyn Law LLC -  for a dozen years, coverning the full gamut of civil practice. Matters included employment, property, business, and contract litigation; consumer protection matters; civil rights work focusing on sex, identity, and orientation discrimination; and transactional work such as licensing, contracts, estate planning. 

Before relcoating from California to Massahcusetts in 2008, AAG Leelyn was trained at a prestigous, AV Rated law firm in San Diego, primarily handling civil rights and business matters.

Shannan Leelyn completed her undergraduate work at the College of William & Mary in 1993, and later graduated as the Valedictorian, summa cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California.
