Would not recommend. Probably was better off without him as a lawyer. Went to trial and was not prepared. My case was presented sloppy and he wasn't very knowledgeable on military retirement. My wife was awarded everything including my military disability retirement that she technically wasn't untitl...ed to. The ex wife's income was clearly higher than mine and she was awarded alimony as well. He talk pretty good but was really pushed around by my ex wife's lawyer.

First experience with a lawyer. I figured that I would be very well prepared & have an advantage in my case with "proper" representation, but didn't. My son's mother abuses the legal system to her advantage & I hired Ron McBay to help fight her in court. However, Ron was more interested in the financ...ial aspects of the case. Ron showed up the day of court very unprepared. My child support case was an existing case from California. Somehow Ron managed to calculate that my child support should be higher in Alabama than what I was paying in California. I am very unsatisfied with the outcome but even more unsatisfied with Ron's performance and handeling of the case.

He even attempted to place liens on my family’s properties. For 11 months, I was at War. And Ron was my Champion in battle. He reassured me, counseled me, defended me. He truly FOUGHT for me. (He fought so well, in fact, that my ex even attempted to have Ron removed as my attorney!) Despite all of my ex’s very best efforts, Ron won my war for me. He saw to it that I was very nicely financially compensated AND he provided me with some much-needed closure in an extremely dark time. There is no price tag for that. I would offer the highest of recommendations for Mr. McBay to absolutely anyone needing a Champion in their corner. I will forever be grateful to him for all of his hard work, dedication and determination. Thanks to Ron, I was able to move forward. Seven years later, I now have a wonderfully happy life with an amazing husband and three beautiful children.
