Knowledgable and Honest

I have a modification case coming up for trial, and Rachel was able to give me answers about the law that my current representation was falling short of explaining. The insight and knowledge she has on these very difficult cases shows she t...

Performance
In my opinion, I feel that Rachel Barron has shown a lack of professionalism in regards CPS cases as Attorney Ad Litem. I believe she should be held accountable for not exercising her responsibility to the children she is representing. She constantly complains of her work load to the degree that it...
This review was not left by an actual client. Attorneys are appointed by the Court as the Attorney Ad Litem for children in CPS cases, they are not "hired" by any individual associated with the case. CPS Cases are strictly confidential, so I cannot get into details; however, based on similar reviews left on other sites all within the two weeks immediately following this case, I know this review was posted not by "a client" but by either the foster parent or one of the foster parent's relatives - all of whom was upset with the outcome of the case. When an Attorney Ad Litem is appointed, they have one of two jobs: (1) Represent the wishes of the child, if the child is old enough to express those wishes; or (2) advocate for the best interests of the child if the child is not old enough to express their wishes. The best interest is sometimes governed by legal presumptions that can only be overcome in very specific ways. Given these requirements, when I represent children who are too young to express their wishes, I must follow what the law presumes to be in the best interest and work from there. A court has never made a finding that I have not "satisfactorily discharged my duties" as an Attorney Ad Litem for any child whom I have represented.

Rachel did a great job obtaining visitation rights for a great grandmother against the natural father. Super impressed with the outcome for our family.
