They cannot levy on your Social Security benefits. Period.
You, however, have the burden to prove that money in a bank account is Social Security...

The general rule is that you are not responsible for someone else's debts. BIT there are exceptions.

Once they have a judgment, they can proceed against her assets and garnish her wages. What you are trying to do is get them to not go after her...

There can only be ONE garnishment at a time. The amount for any garnishment is the lesser of three formulas but usually ends up being 10% of gross....
