Life is rough, but if you stay strong things always work out in the end. My situation that led me to being represented by Joseph Bugni and Peter Moyers and “the team” was difficult. I didn’t understand why I was going through it in the beginning, but now I wouldn’t take it back for nothing in the w...orld. I have a learned a lot since then. The way they fought for me is the way a mother or father will fight for their child. I don’t think I can think them enough, but what I can say to everyone is that nobody fights like they do. The way that they fight for their clients is something unreal. His office takes more cases to trial than any federal law office I have ever heard of. When I came back from court and told my sister the good news, she cried. When a lawyer wins a case they don’t just win for their client, they win it for their family as well. The entire office is involved and made me feel like I was part of something special. After my case, I went and got on my knees and thank God for putting great people in my corner to represent me. One thing that I learned from my experience is that when you have God in your life you don’t just have him you have his people also! It is a blessing to know that in this world good people are still around. They say things happen in life for a reason, and I believe that my journey brought me to meet you guys, my wounds healed over time but my relationship with you all is forever! I remember last year for Christmas I was upset because my family was not able to come visit me, then I ended up getting a surprise visit. When I made it to the visiting room Joseph was standing there with the pictures that his kids drew for me. Every time when I felt like I was in a bad situation the team picked me up, and even the interns were special. I appreciate all they did in hours spent working on my case and talking about my life and goals even after writing this, I still don’t think I fully express my appreciation. Thank you for everything.

I was amazed at the quality of his work, the ideas he came up with, and the game plans executed. I had my doubts about public defenders after the experience I had with the one in Eau Claire. I'm ashamed to even compare Peter to her, he was amazing! He is the total opposite!! Talking with Peter the fi...rst time gave me confidence in him and his skills and abilities. He showed concern in me and my case right away. My confidence grew. Watching him in the courtroom was amazing, he knows what he's doing. I couldn't have asked for better results, he put up a winning fight! I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me.

When my boyfriend was arrested, Peter was one of the first men who was able to help me understand what was going on and the process that would be following in my days to come. He warned me that I needed to be patient and not to lose hope, that my boyfriend would need all of the support he could get. ...Peter always made sure to answer my late night emails, and to pass on any information needed to keep my worries at ease, and to make frequent visits to my boyfriend to ensure he was doing well. Peter kept me updated as best he could from week to week whether it was through phone calls, emails, or text messages. As my boyfriends trial date quickly approached, Peter made a 3 hour drive to my house to visit my boyfriends parents and I. He stayed with us for hours, answering any questions we had to ensure we had a more clear understanding on the case and what was to come. My boyfriend was ultimately facing a minimum of 60/maximum of 120 consecutive years. When that news came to me, I was in complete shock but yet Peter made sure that I was remaining as calm as I could and to be there for my boyfriend. A month prior to our trial date, I received a call that after seven months of an intense investigation and time lost while he was gone, all charges against my boyfriend were going to be dismissed. I have Peter and his team to thank for everything! Although my life may not be quite as normal as it once was, I am slowly starting to get it back due to all of the hard work done for us! I would highly recommend Peter Moyers to anyone who needs a dedicated professional on their side. He definitely goes above and beyond to ensure he is doing his absolute best and to ensure that his clients are properly represented.

Atty's Peter Moyers and Joseph Bugni defended my son Kurt who was a stage IV cancer patient. They took the time to get to know Kurt, not just the man on paper, but the heart and soul of the man headed back to prison possibly for the last time. "The System" failed my son and these two dedicated men... who worked tirelessly to prevent his last few months being spent behind bars. I have never made excuses for son's mistakes. Kurt knew my belief that God gave us choices and if we made the wrong one we had to face the consequences. Kurt was not a violent man, he never hurt anyone, he was a thief. Eight months in jail should have been punishment enough for a man being given little medical attention and no cancer treatment when tests had proven the cancer was going to take his life. "The System" failed to see the diligence, compassion and humanity in a compassionate release fought for by these two men. Prison was ordered and the next 9 months of my son's life will haunt me for as long as I live. Atty's Moyers and Bugni were finally granted a hearing for a compassionate release. Too late, Kurt passed away 13 days before the scheduled Hearing. To me, his mother, Atty's Moyers and Bugni were like family. Two compassionate men that did not just end the case with Kurt's death. They stayed in touch with family and traveled on their own time and a long distance to attend Kurt's services. I will be forever grateful and humbled for the love and calming their presence gave me.
