Patricia Ann Shackelford

For the past 3 years 80-90% of my work has been handling civil and criminal appeals in State and Federal courts. Before that my appellate work consisted of preserving the record and managing the trial briefing on pending trial court cases and working with other appellate lawyers on pending appeals.

I was a partner in a Plaintiff's personal injury practice from 1996 through 2007. I prepared pleadings, handled the motion practice, prepared jury charges and assisted with appeals on our cases during that period.I was admitted pro hac vice in Illinois, Arizona, and Kansas. I was involved in several MDLs. The practice encompassed oil filed and refinery negligence, auto and other products liability, trucking negligence, and premises liability.

While I was a partner at Perry & Haas, I worked on several qui tam cases involving health care issues. The most notable case was United States ex rel Thompson v Columbia/HCA.
