Disappointed

I first hired a lawyer at Oxford&Lehr and after we agreed on a settlement, my Lawyers Ben &Hans did not do do what they said they were going to do so I was forced to hire another attorney, I hired James Feamster from Allen&Garrett to take my case, he wanted $5,000 up front so I borrowed the money bec...ause I needed some help, it was only a short time into it I realized all he was doing was running up my bill and not doing anything to help me, this went on for over 3 years til finally I said going back and forth to court is ridiculous, they claimed They were fighting to accept the first settlement but when I told him that I had no problem with it he told me that they couldn't accept it because he wasn't at my first mediation, then why did we keep going back and forth to court to enforce it if it was never going to be enforced to begin with, simple, MONEY, after all of this he wanted another $5,500.00. After getting $10,500.00 for what should have been a simple case he withdrew with the other side still owing me money, Lawyers are crooks especially divorce Lawyers. No, I do not recommend this Lawyer or any Allen & Garrett Lawyers, don't waste your money.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
