Writing this review from my experience with her from a few years ago. Very rude, her attitude is horrible as mentioned in previous review, very pushy. Told her I'd check with a few other lawyers for my case, and she did not seem to take too kindly to that. Maybe she is an effective lawyer, but that i...s not how you should treat your potential clients. Glad I never went with her. Highly recommend using someone else.

I am a family law attorney. However, I had a family law issue and I didn't believe it was prudent to represent myself so I engaged Attorney Octeau. She was very knowledgeable and was able to handle four major issues with my ex-wife so that we did not have to force the matter into court. People can... easily be put off by her rough exterior and tell it like it is attitude but that is precisely what made her an excellent lawyer to handle my family matter. If I had to do it again I wouldn't choose another attorney. She is a gem in this field but is not known for it and often overlooked. People who find her are lucky. She will keep you informed and she will be upfront and honest about your case. Don't be put off by whether she has recognition in her field. After 24 years I have used her in a number of capacities besides family law and she's a damn good lawyer.
