This lawyer strung us along for over two weeks with hardly any information at all. To get in touch with him you would have to leave messages with his secretary which had to be reminded about three times for her to finally forward the message along. He charged us over $700 just to go find out informat...ion about the detainee's case, and then met with us a week after to tell us exactly what we already knew. To top it all off he was extremely dry and unconcerned about the case, saying that there was no hope and that there was nothing anyone could do until the detainee had his hearing already, said there was no possible outcome that did not result in a deportation and all we could do was gain some time if he was even let out on a bond. On a case of an immigrant that had an order for removal, but has been in good conduct for 15 years and now has a family with citizen children. Very much depressing and the last thing a wife wants to hear. I would suggest going to SEVERAL lawyers before spending any money on any of them. They are supposed to sell you their services, not take advantage of your vulnerable state. And if they are confident about the case, and you decide to go with them, make sure you sign a contract for assignation of counseling. In moments like these you don't want to be left alone and in the dark, like some inconsiderate lawyers like to do.
