Hit and run Lawyer

I was incarcerated for a firearm charge and my mother and family retained Bitterman as my council. My mother was an alleged victim in this case (which was found to be unfounded). I was facing ten years in prison and Mr. Bitterman acquired a deal with the prosecutor to give me a 3 year prison term t...o which I agreed. It was shot down by Judge Rea. The judge demanded a minimum of 5 years to which I refused and demanded trial. Shortly after, my mother was filing against her employer for workman's comp. Mr. Bitterman took the case. Within one week I received a letter in jail stating that Mr. Bitterman could no longer represent me because of a "conflict of interest". I am not schooled in legal matters but I was under the impression that Mr. Bitterman was legally obliged to decline my mother's contract. I was retained as a client an entire year before my mother's case. After Mr. Bitterman bailed out of my case I retained another attorney. Within a month I was out of jail and had a sentence of 5 years probation. During this entire process I was incarcerated. My wife was my only contact to Mr. Bitterman being as he would not respond to my letters. I requested conference with Mr. Bitterman on more than 20 occasions during my 308 day incarceration to which I received only 2 actual visits. The 2 times that he did appear he was shrewd and spoke to me as if my voice in my own case held no weight. After several months in the Middlesex County Correctional Facility and countless hours pouring over the 2:C book I came across the Graves act (2:C 43-6.2) (The Firearm Act). The Graves act states that a first time firearm offender (if no violent crime was involved) can bypass the mandatory sentence of five years. In it's stead the convicted can receive a minimum of one year of probation or 364 days in jail. It is called a "Valve". Mr. Bitterman insisted that I was wasting his time and that anything I had to say was irrelevant to the coming court appearance and that I had read the statute wrong. He proceeded to stand up from his chair and prepare to leave while I was in mid-speech. I have heard that Mr. Bitterman is an excellent lawyer when it comes to misdemeanors and traffic violations but I would never recommend him for anything other than that.

Highly reccomend

Larry is a great lawyer. I used him 3 times for different matters. I would definately use again. This man is not intimidated by anyone including the judge. He does talk fast , but I believe he does that because he is a quick minded lawyer who don't jerk around.

Larry is a good guy.

I got into big trouble were i could of went to jail for years. Larry talks very fast and seems that he does not listen at times but that is false. From day one he told what was going to happen and exactly what he said came to be. I did not do a day in jail. He seems to know everyone at the middlesex ...county court house I feel he used this to work out a great plea for me 20 of the 22 charges dropped. I would have to say that he has your best interest at heart and will give you 100%. Now I am going to close this review with a quote he said to me the first time i meet Larry "A good lawyer knows the law a great lawyer knows the judge."

One of the good guys

Larry handled a small case for my daughter. Although he talks quickly and seems to be a bit overwhelmed, you'd never know it in the courtroom. He knows many of the people in the court system and knows the rules and doesn't put up with any bullshit.
