I retained Jessica Maricond of the Niedweske Law Firm for my case. On April 30, 2025, the attorneys entered into a settlement without my authorization, despite my repeated written and verbal refusals to settle and my documented instruction to proceed to trial. I have recordings of phone calls from Ap...ril 28–30, 2025, in which they pressured me to accept settlement terms and, in one call, asked me to terminate them if I would not agree. After I formally terminated representation, I began requesting my complete client file on July 9, 2025. To date (08/12/25), I have not received all materials I am entitled to under New Jersey RPC 1.16(d), including deposition transcripts, exhibits, video recordings, court orders with reasoning, discovery, settlement/ADR materials, and trial preparation documents. Despite repeated deadlines and written demands, they have failed to provide the file in full or even supply a FedEx tracking number for a thumb drive they claim to have mailed. The combination of settling my case without consent and then withholding my complete file has caused direct harm to my legal interests. I have filed a formal ethics complaint citing violations of RPC 1.16(d) (failure to surrender client file) and RPC 1.4 (failure to communicate).
