Douglas D Messineo

Douglas Messineo is a fairly competent attorney, but he can be careless, and inattentive in dealing with clients. Doug Messineo is listed as a Civil Rights attny, but when he was referred to me back in 2009, I was told he was a Per Injury attny. He represented my Mother during her Med Mal case agains...t an L-TACH in 2009. Thru their negligence, Mom was severely brain-damaged in Feb 2009. She also contracted a large bedsore, and several HAI's before she passed in Aug 2009. Doug Messineo's initial Demand was $500,000. Select merely offered $50,000, which I rightfully refused. Doug pressed the defendant, stating that Mom's case was "A six-figure case." We were then offered $100G, from I which I received a mere $38G -- for a Death case! Doug considered $38G too low, I agreed. So he promised to work on the other facility, same bldg as the L-TACH, where Mom initially contracted pneumonia in early 2009.. Things went downhill from there. Doug Messineo Never worked on the first facility. He also promised to call Soc Sec for me, among other promises. None of which came to be. He talks big, but does NOT follow thru! I am sorry that I trusted his word.
