Genuinely Cares

I was googling Don Larsen to see what he was up to and I noticed that I could post a review for him so here we go. About a year ago I got into some serious trouble. I was charged with possession of a weapon with unlawful purpose, terroristic threats, and felony assault. Not one of the best times in... my life. I met Don because my friend had used him for a DUI and he was found not guilty. I reached Don and he didn’t sugar coat anything. He asked for discovery on my case and I guess all the information regarding my case. After a while of going back and forth Don told me the deal that was on the table and he told me I could go to trial. I decided to go for it. Turns out Don finds the way around the search and winds up getting me acquitted at trial. I’ve turned my life around and now I spend more time telling people don’t be stupid the way I was. I’d recommend Don because he’s honest and I believe he is a really good if not great attorney. He was fair on my bill and he was honest. I like the guy and that’s another reason I wanted to post my review

The best outcome I could have hoped for

I was facing a slew of charges (12) in two municipal court cases including 2 DUI's, Disorderly persons, Open container of alcohol, and Failure to stay right, among others stemming from a series of arrests. During our consultation we discussed the defense strategy in thorough detail. During our first ...substantive appearance he successfully petitioned to merge the cases. Regarding my first DUI arrest, I asked Don if the origin of the investigation was legitimate: the Police were called after I boasted to convenience store employees that "drinking and driving is permissible when you only have one drink". Upon receiving the report that a "drunk customer just left and drove away" The dispatch sent officers to investigate without asking any questions to verify the accuracy of their report. Don's initial thought was that the origin was indeed legitimate- however shortly thereafter he filed a "Gullotta Motion" on this basis (as well as a second motion based on the boro's inability to prove intoxication with my .05 reading). The municipal prosecutor was totally green - unwilling to cut a reasonable deal and Don was like "Let's go to trial", our next visit to the courthouse a newly appointed, experienced Prosecutor was present. They cut a deal to dismiss everything except the .14 DUI, for which I received 7mos suspension , no IID required, and 8 hours IDRC. I saw the arresting officer from 2 of the 3 arrests chatting with the court clerk, when I went to pay the fine. He looked pale and browbeaten, wiping perspiration from his face with a crumpled napkin. The cops really wanted me to do 10 days in jail for the disorderly persons offense, as I walked away from the clerk's window another defendant asked Don for his card- it was hard to ignore the Judge's summary of the judgment as she read 11 different charges saying dismissed. I haven't done any more idiotic hijinks since then, but I feel like I could probably get away with all kinds of outlandish antics as long as he's representing me in court. He's a very personable guy and he's got great courtroom presence.
