Corey Ahart mismanages his court room. I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with him in a township he presides over. I purchased a property in disrepair in Riverside Township, junk out front and high grass. I operate a business to repair these properties and better the neighborhood. ... Code enforcement, specifically Kevin P Johnson, wrote me a ticket for high grass immediately after purchase, to my personal name. I do not own the property, the company does. Furthermore, that’s the entire point of what we do - buy properties with problems and then solve those problems. I attempted to attend court three separate times for this matter, and the judge was late two times - the third they just did not let me into the virtual Zoom. Honorable Corey Ahart, JMC believes he does not have to run a proper court or be on time. He is most effecting working class immigrants who made up the majority of the court room, these hard working people live day to day on a days wage and the judge has no issue wasting their time and not showing up. He WANTS to issue you a warrant, even if you show up and he fails to. It feels intentional and orchestrated, especially against the immigrant community. Takes months to respond to matters that can addressed in minutes. Forgets all past agreements when finally responding. Insists that others hurry according to his arbitrary timelines. Makes "offers" in realms that are legally non-negotiable. Re-negs on promises. Ignores actual issues of case in favor ...of making threats.
