Bettina E. Munson

My husband was referred to Bettina in the midst of a custody/relocation dispute. In the beginning, she appeared to be motivated to represent him and win this case, which we definitely would have won. However, due to his ex's brainwashing of their daughter, it was pointless to go to trial and waste ev...eryone's time and money, so my husband decided to let his daughter move, but set forth very specific regulations. Once Bettina found out he was consenting to the move, she totally gave up on him. She agreed to things with opposing counsel that she did not even consult with my husband, her client. When my husband got upset over how she just stopped caring, she told him to stop being petty and be more professional. She was letting him lose his daughter! She would tell him she would call him back and never did. She only cares about having wins under belt, and collecting money. She is entitled, disrespectful, and at times, tries to be more of a therapist than an attorney and actually represent her client's wishes. my poor husband is stuck between a rock and hard place with his own attorney not representing him and his wishes at all (yet taking a $10,000 retainer without issue in the beginning!) I do not recommend Bettina Munson at all if you are a father who is trying to figure out how to make your child and yourself happy. Run, don't walk, away from this woman because as much as she's a "pitbull"-- it's to her own clients, NOT to opposing counsel.

I can't begin to express how incompetent and unprofessional Tina Munson is. She handled my divorce case 5 years ago. The malpractice suit I filed against her was just dismissed but not on merit. My ex was willing to settle for 1/4 of what this case cost me initially. Rather than quickly moving to s...ettle my divorce she advised me to have evaluations done of my business (premarital), my commercial property (paid for by the premarital business, etc.), etc. A year and a half later with lots of time, money and energy lost, this was settled without trial. I switched attorneys at the end, but the damage had been done. It didn't occur to me that she is all about billable hours. She came to meetings unprepared, did not inform me of the potential of loss, etc. Then when it started falling apart, she blamed me. I could go on, but just stay away from this woman. It is lawyers like Munson that give this profession such a bad name.
