Nikki knows how to fight to win. In her youth, she excelled as a champion kickboxer which instilled in her a competitive nature. She took that competitive nature to Texas A&M University as a third-generation Aggie where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in English. While at A&M, she interned for Former President George H.W. Bush in his Houston office while a member of the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program.
Nikki’s competitive spirit carried her through law school, juggling her role as student and mother. She served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the Texas Wesleyan Law Review and wrote on victim’s rights. Nikki finished law school graduating top of her class magna cum laude.
That same competitive drive to win carried Nikki to win in the ring of the courtroom as a lawyer. During her first year as a lawyer, she litigated the first victory under the Texas HMO liability statute and gained national recognition as a finalist for the 2003 Trial Lawyer of the Year award by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. Nikki took her fight for the underdog to work as a felony prosecutor, trying victim-based cases of family violence, sex crimes, and capital murder in over 150 jury trials.
Nikki’s desire to win combined with her compassion results in a fierce advocate for her clients.

Excellent Family Attorney
Nikki represented me in my recent divorce and I couldn't have asked for a better attorney. She was quick to respond, easy to understand and very helpful through the whole ordeal. She got me more than I thought I would get going into this and I am thankful to have chosen her.
"I have worked extensively with Nikki Grote; she is a meticulous worker with a broad range of legal knowledge that has been accumulated through years of experience. I have seen her zealously advocate for parties associated with her cases, and her professionalism, empathy, and work ethic is rare in today's legal community. An excellent legal tactician, Nikki has the skillset and temperament of a legal force to be reckoned with or a subtle, yet decisively effective, negotiator—depending on what strategy is needed for the situation. I have the utmost respect for Nikki Grote, and I highly endorse her."
