Family law encompasses a variety of issues related to marriage, divorce, domestic partnerships and co-habitation. Typical issues include premarital agreements, dissolution of marriage, child custody, child support, visitation issues, spousal support, division of community property assets, debts and retirement benefits. It also includes the establishment of paternity, termination of parental rights, guardianship, and post-judgment modifications to orders based on changed circumstances.

Labor and Employment law arises from various provisions in the California Labor Code, including but not limited to unpaid wages, unpaid overtime, missed meal and rest breaks, inaccurate wage statements and improperly handled employee files. It also includes sexual harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination.

Domestic violence is abuse or threats of abuse by an abuser towards their victim with whom they have had an intimate relationship, have children with, or are related to by blood. Domestic violence not only includes physical harm such as hitting or pushing, but also includes harassment, stalking, threatening, or blocking movement. Domestic violence orders can protect not only the person filling, but also children and even pets.

Other legal issues which make up the remainder of my practice include, but are not limited to contract formation and negotiation, business disputes, negligence and emotional distress claims, landlord-tenant disputes, premise liability, elder abuse, civil harassment, and a variety of other legal issues not named above.
