I am a New Hampshire native who joined the United States Army on my 18th birthday. I served honorably for 8 years in Military Intelligence, receiving many awards and promotions while completing my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Thereafter I returned to New Hampshire where I joined the National Guard for 4 years, working in JAG and Counter Drug while completing my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Thereafter, I went on to obtain my Juris Doctor in 2002. I began my legal career as a prosecutor for over 8 years and as such, have over 21 years of litigation experience. In private practice I have served as defense counsel in criminal cases and DWIs and as counsel for those seeking habeas corpus relief, as well as those served with domestic violence, restraining, or stalking petitions. I also practice Family, Second Amendment, and draft Estate plans and NFA Firearms Trusts. I am currently a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Disabled American Veterans, NRA, Gun Owners of New Hampshire, and in 2011 I received a Governor's Citation for my military service and public service to New Hampshire as a prosecutor and Assistant County Attorney.

Fast, tidy job!
Our company needed a release, waiver, etc. crafted up with very little time before we would need to put it into operation. Ms. Fortune did a great job - and quickly too.
"I have known Nicole for quite some time, and I have witnessed her skills as an attorney on both sides of the aisle. She is a skilled advocate in the courtroom whom judges respect. She uses her experience from the military and as a former prosecutor to now fight for her clients charged with crimes. I highly recommend Nicole to anyone who is in search of a criminal defense attorney."
"Nicole was a tough prosecutor who has taken that tenacity and skill into the private sector. Sometimes this is just the kind of lawyer you need."
