Nellie G. Spexet is both an Educator having been a teacher, School Principal and Central Office Administrator in Government Relations for 23 years in the Minneapolis Public Schools and currently an attorney. She has served as an Administrator member on the Minnesota State Board of Teaching appointed by then Governor Carlson , and the Special Education Advisory Council. Law is her second career upon retirement in Education. As an attorney, she was an associate attorney for Robert Brenner & Associates P.A. handling Employment Discrimination cases. When the P.A. folded , she established her own practice in Family Law and Estate Planning. Nellie G. Spexet has a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. ( Law Degree) from William Mitchell College of Law. She is also licensed in both states of Minnesota and Wisconsin and maintains an active practice as an attorney and Guardian Ad Litem. She is passionate and is a very strong advocate about children's rights and safety. Additionally, she does volunteer work for military veterans in the areas of Family Law and Estate Planning through organizations, MAC-V ( Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans) and WFH ( Wills for Heroes). She is a strong supporter of veterans rights.
