Absolutely nightmare.... Needed to call Florida Bar many times to get him in touch....

I hired him to defend my case in February 2017. We had a meeting in Miami, but he was late almost 2 hours. He promised to prepare Motion to Dismiss, however, he has failed. He did not contact me, so I needed to chase him down. I called his office and cell phone every day, but there was no answ...er. Also, I emailed him every day, but there was no response. Finally, I needed to reach out Florida Bar Association for some help. They called him, then he immediately called me and told me that he already sent a document to my email for my review. I have never received that document, so I asked him to send it to me again. Then he disappeared again...... Florida Bar association suggested me that I can hire different attorney to deal with my case and bill him later for the compensation and damage. I wanted to defend my case, but I ended up adding more stress, money and time because of Mr.Mizell Campbell. He is not professional at all. His communication level is extremely poor. Basically, after he gets your money, he ignores. If you hire him, you definitely need Florida Bar Association's help to get any reply from him. He will give you great headache and worries. I do not recommend him at all.

This review is 100% incorrect. This client is being sued for making comments online, ironically enough, against a company she had a business dispute with. She hired me to defend her against that case in February of 2017. She had drafted a Motion To Dismiss and set it for a hearing, however it was not very well drafted and upon being hired, I cancelled the hearing and met with her in Miami. I was two hours late for the meeting, but that was due to Miami traffic. That part of her review is correct. I spoke at length with her regarding the case and reviewed documents she had with her. I immediately started researching the issues involved in amended the Motion To Dismiss and obtained new hearing dates and times from the court and coordinated those with opposing counsel. The client sent me an e-mail on March 15, 2017 with additional documents to support her arguments in the Motion To Dismiss. I sent her a copy of the draft of the Motion To Dismiss and to my shock, I got a phone call on or about March 21, 2017 from the Florida Bar stating that I had a client who was complaining that I was not communicating with her. By her own admission in an e-mail on March 21, 2017, she stated: Hi Misell, This is ********. Since last Wednesday, although you have promised to prepare "Motion to Dismiss" and file them, you became unreachable. So I called Florida Bar to notify your unethical behavior. Now I have a reference number for my complainant at Florida Bar. They advised me that if you stay remain unreachable and not to do any work you have promised, I can hire another attorney and ask the attorney's fee to you to recover my damage. If you would like, I will hire different attorney to do my defense, and bill you later for breach of contract. Also, if you do not answer nor do any work, your attorney's license is under investigation, and possible of revoke of your attorney license. Hope I hear from you soon and file motion to dismiss as soon as possible. Thank you for your corporation. ******** ********** This is unreasonable in my opinion as the client admits that she just heard from me on the previous Wednesday, yet on a Tuesday she has called the Florida Bar. I reached out to this client and resent the draft of the Motion To Dismiss, however she told me she would leave up her review and edit it, at the end of the case, if I get a good result/dismissal. So, that is my response. As a professional, I am continuing to work on this case, and will file the Motion To Dismiss and argue it at a hearing. Our firm takes all work seriously. I try to resolve client conflicts without putting them into the public, however in the day and age of social media and internet advertising, it would be unwise for my firm to leave this negative review not responded to. I never stop work on a case due to a negative review and hope to have a good end result for this client.

Excellent Attorney

I have nothing but positive words for this attorney. He has helped me in many occasions and recently when I needed an attorney to step in on an ongoing matter he did so with ease and confidence. I never had to worry anymore as soon as he stepped in to salvage what the other attorney did that I prev...iously hired. If you need an intelligent attorney on your side and one you can talk to comfortably about your case, he is the man for you.

Avoid this Guy... Horrible Experience

I hired Mizell for a fixed rate probate matter and it was a nightmare experience. He misrepresented his experience and ability to complete a simple Summary of Administration in a timely manner. Mizell is not communicative and has no sense of urgency. It was also very difficult to have an actua...l conversation with him as he preferred to communicate through email. I had to terminate him and hire another attorney as I had 0 confidence he would be able to complete the job. The whole experience with him was beyond frustrating.

This comment is incorrect. This client sent me a probate case to work on, however due to issues with the will (it had handwriting all over it and was likely not the original), this matter ended up having to be set for a hearing before the Judge and the client did not want to wait for that to take place. This was likely not a good case for a Summary Administration, but the delay in the case was not due to any errors on my part.
