Disappointing,Hard to work with, Incompetant.

Was not happy using this lawyer at all. Did not finish the job. Did not keep in communication. Phone calls never returned. I did not get any kind of good service from him. I had to hire another attorney to finish his job.I was very embarrassed using him. Our new attorney could not understand why h...e could not finish the job he was paid to do. It took the new attorney 3 days to resolve the issue for after we hired him.Dealing with this lawyer was pain staking and tooth pulling. I was very displeased with him.

Dissatisfied

I hired Mr. Diksies to fight a North Brunswick speed trap ticket. Upon hire, I asked and he failed to provide proof to me that he performed any form of discovery to prove that I wasn't guilty of speeding such as obtain proof that the radar gun used was defective or that the policeman had mistakenly f...lagged down the wrong vehicle previous times or that the reduced speed zone was invalid since there was no construction activity within a mile of where the reduced speed sign was located I took pictures as proof that the signs were in valid). I question whether he never sent a discovery letter to the prosecutor and the net result was that I could have gotten the same deal from the prosecutor with or without an attorney. He didn't allow me to participate in negotiations with the prosecutor, either. The worst part is that it appears my insurance rate went up as much as it would have had I plead guilty to speeding and just paid the ticket uncontested. I feel I was not well represented. I expect more than a lawyer showing up in court. I expect more than getting a "deal" of "no points careless driving" in exchange for a points speeding ticket for a first offender.

This client received a no point violation despite exceeding the speed limit by 28 points in a Safe Corridor and his fines were not doubled. I advised him when we spoke initially that this was the best outcome for him short of going to trial. If he wanted to try to get the matter dismissed it would have to go to trial. I even offered to take his case to trial at no extra cost to him. He declined because he did not want to take another day off from work. He also acknowledged to me that maybe he wasn't listening to me when I told him what the likely outcome would be because he was so angry over receiving the ticket. It is my policy to advise all my clients that the insurance companies have a different point system than the Motor Vehicle Commission and that if they are concerned about premium costs increasing, they should discuss that with their insurance agent.

DO NOT DEPEND ON MINA F. DISKES!

I hired Mina to fight two traffic violations in NJ. Upon hire, he screws up by sending both letters of representation to the same court although the tickets belong to two different courts. He apolgoized and corrected his mistake after a few days of not hearing from him. As if that wasn't bad enough, ...he calls me an hour before court and tells me he is running late. Okay, no big deal. Sat in court and waited over 3 hours then explains he was stuck in another court. So I was in court without my lawyer for the day because he had another court case that was probably more appealing to his intrest. This is not what I paid money for. He is unreliable and, sorry to say, halfed-ass laywer. You should not abandon your paying clients just because your calender is too full. I received a complete refund but that does not make up for the time loss and the BS explaination that is how court systems are. No! I paid my hard earned money for a service and you are suppose to deliever as promised and ontime

This individual is correct regarding the error with the letter. Although it did not harm the case in any way, I have taken steps to ensure that this sort of clerical error never happens again. I am confident that it will not happen again and I'm sorry that it did happen in the first place. I understand that waiting in court caused an extreme inconvenience and I regret that. I repeatedly tried to explain that as an attorney I cannot leave a court until my cases are heard and the judge dismisses me. It is simply out of my hands when a judge steps off the bench for an hour or two, my hands are tied.
