Mike graduated from Western Washington University in 2004 where he majored in Philosophy. After college, Mike moved to beautiful southern California to go to Whittier Law School where he served as an editor for the Law Review, on the executive board of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board, and graduated cum laude.
After law school Mike and his wife knew they wanted to return home to Washington State. Mike served as an Assistant Attorney General from 2008-2012. During that time Mike represented the Department of Labor and Industries from hundreds of cases at the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, handled jury and bench trials in various Superior courts, and had the opportunity to argue before the Court of Appeals, where he won. Mike then spent some time practicing labor and employment law representing 10 state agencies.
Mike joined the law firm Parham, Hall, and Karmy in March 2012. Mike had worked with the firm over the years and always respected and admired the attorneys that worked there. When the opportunity arose to represent injured workers he felt that it was time to make a positive impact helping those individuals with the skills he had learned from representing the other side. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, cooking, watching movies, and going for hikes.
Update (3/2014) - Mike is a proud new father!! Mike and his wife welcomed their healthy son into the world and could not be any more excited!!!
