I’m a litigation attorney focused on real estate, landlord-tenant matters, and commercial disputes in New York. I represent both landlords and tenants—residential and commercial—as well as property owners involved in rent arrears claims, lease disputes, and possession-related litigation. My practice includes prosecuting and defending actions for money damages, including claims for unpaid rent, and enforcing lease and contract rights in court.
In addition to core landlord-tenant matters, I’ve handled administrative law cases involving the Housing Maintenance Code (HMC) and the Multiple Dwelling Law (MDL), and defended landlords against claims by vendors and contractors seeking payment for work they failed to perform. I’ve also supported matters in arbitration, federal court, and appellate court, and have made numerous appearances across New York City’s Civil, Supreme, and Housing Courts, including in contempt proceedings and complex motion practice.
I take a direct and deliberate approach to litigation. I confront issues head-on—whether that means pushing back against unreasonable demands or holding the line in court when a client is being treated unfairly. I care deeply about my clients and the outcomes that affect their properties, businesses, and lives. That’s why I do the work, stay prepared, and never tolerate bad faith from the other side.
Clients trust me because I’m genuinely invested in their outcomes, always come prepared, and am unafraid to challenge an adversary—or authority—when warranted. And when I do, I do so with precision and tact. I’m admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey and bring the same discipline and care to every matter, whether it involves a single apartment or a multimillion-dollar portfolio.
If you need an advocate who is genuinely invested in your outcome, strategic, and committed—I’m here to help.

Fight against a commercial Landlord holding Security Deposit
Michael assisted me in a fight to get my Security Deposit against a commercial landlord that felt he needs to keep his Security Deposit. Michael was timely, accurate with billing and we won. Excellent job by Michael.
