Michael Alexander Gorodetsky

I’m a litigation attorney focused on real estate, landlord-tenant matters, and commercial disputes in New York. I represent both landlords and tenants—residential and commercial—as well as property owners involved in rent arrears claims, lease disputes, and possession-related litigation. My practice includes prosecuting and defending actions for money damages, including claims for unpaid rent, and enforcing lease and contract rights in court.

In addition to core landlord-tenant matters, I’ve handled administrative law cases involving the Housing Maintenance Code (HMC) and the Multiple Dwelling Law (MDL), and defended landlords against claims by vendors and contractors seeking payment for work they failed to perform. I’ve also supported matters in arbitration, federal court, and appellate court, and have made numerous appearances across New York City’s Civil, Supreme, and Housing Courts, including in contempt proceedings and complex motion practice.

I confront issues head-on—whether that means pushing back against unreasonable demands or holding the line in court when a client is being treated unfairly.
